New iMac 20"

on Monday, March 23, 2009

I am obviously back online, with my new beautiful iMac 20". My personal computer technician brought my new baby iMac home Thursday night and was pretty much done installing and transferring everything by Friday evening. He's such a doll! Don't know what I'd do without him. He is such a good computer technician, I am not saying that just because he's my husband. My desktop photo is a photo outside of Death Valley California that I took on last year's trip to the United States.
My new 20" iMac is an incentive to quit smoking as I've mentioned in previous posts. In January when I first mentioned about trying to cut down on smoking and getting my new iMac, I was able to cut down to ten cigarettes a day. Then I fell off the bandwagon and was back up to a pack a day. Over the last few days, each day I have been smoking less and less. Today so far I have only smoked 6 cigarettes and it hasn't been so bad.

I use a 20" iMac too (along with a Macbook for traveling), I could never go back to window based pc's ever again.
I quit smoking 19 months ago tomorrow (after having smoked 36 years), I was able to do it with the help of the prescription medication Chantix (not a nicotine replacement).
Good Luck and Nice Computer!!!!

Wow. Macs are my favorite. I'm surrounded by junk Windows boxes, however...

Wishing you the best - I just changed to a 20" iMac and I love it - it will do so much more than a PC and I like the large screen for working on my website design. iMac is really excels in graphics. Have fun!

Good luck quitting smoking. I succeeded some time ago and found that if I figured out what it was I liked about smoking it was easier to find alternatives. In my case, I liked having something to do with my hands and mouth so I substituted sunflower seeds. Getting the seed out of the shell turned out to be a good substitute and I got to say goodbye to the expense of smoking. ( My rent had gone up so I had to find ways to save money. lol )

Wow Love your new computer, I want one! :) Well done for trying to give up, I used to smoke about 20 a day but finally packed it in, by cutting down, and been a NS for 2 and a half years :)

That's cool that you got to go to the U.S. for a little vacation. I live in Columbus, Ohio and went on a few business trips to Boulder, Colorado. Picked up a little hiking and rock climbing. There is nothing in the world like the Rockie Mountains. Beautiful country. Scary if you get caught up in an electric storm 13,000 feet up like I did. I thought it was the end for me.

Hi found you on Romancing Italy's blog....Just wondering what nationality your husband is? My husband is a IT Support Specialist, and I would love to live in Italy for a while..But he would have to work>

That really looks lovely. Congratulations. And good luck with trying to quit smoking! After I quit drinking coffee a few years ago, and discovered how hard that was, I now have infinite sympathy for someone trying to quit smoking, which is much, much harder.

Thanks guys for the compliments and encouragement. As of today, haven't fully given up smoking, yet, but still smoking less than a pack.

Hi Ann

Thanks for your comment on my blog!

I love Italy....yes we have visited. In 2006 we went to Sicily for a week, then in 2007 we went to Lake Como for 10 days, and then last year we went to Liguria for 10days...hopefully back there at the end of the year for another 10 days in another area.

We have to go at the end of the year November as my husband works for Formula 1 and is not allowed any holidays from January til the end of the season which is around the end of October. We have not been disappointed at all, each trip has been amazing and the weather was so good to us! :-)

In order to start off your smoking cessation regimen with chantix, the Pfizer manufactured quit smoking drug, you need to buy chantix from authentic chantix drug stores.
